Detailed Description
These traditional powdered abrasives are de rigueur for French Polishing, and they're the traditional choice for rubbing out and polishing all kinds of other finishes as well. Pumice (ours is 4F, extra fine), polishes final finish coats to a semi-gloss sheen after they have been scraped or sanded flat & smooth. Ultra-fine Rottenstone is used to rub up a high gloss. Both are used with a rubbing lubricant such as mineral oil or mineral spirits.
