Hands-On Workshop

Many woodworkers design and build furniture concerned mostly with function, while giving a slight artistic nod to traditional style or period.

The goal of this class is to guide you in developing a personal sense of design. We will work to uncover and express thoughts, notions and feelings and translate them into a three dimensional furniture form. Sabiha Mujtaba, owner of Chrysalis Woodworks, will guide you in the process of personalizing your woodworking designs – to make them uniquely your own so they best reflect your personal beliefs and experiences.

A visual presentation will show how contemporary woodworkers have explored and interpreted concepts to find their own signature style.
While you can come to class with a particular furniture piece in mind as a place to start, (as well as with paper & pencil), be ready to have fun, share and explore with an open mind.

Working from Atlanta, GA since 1986, Sabiha teaches woodworking and creates custom furniture and architectural pieces for homes and businesses. CLASS CANCELLATION POLICY:
Highland Woodworking reserves the right to cancel any class. Full refunds will be issued in that event. Students withdrawing from a class must notify Highland Hardware 10 or more days prior to the beginning of the class to receive full credit or refund. No refund or credit will be issued with less than 10 days' notice. For labor intensive or multiple day courses, we reserve the right to issue special refund stipulations which will be noted in the class advertisement at the time of posting.
