The Forge De Saint-Juéry, where Auriou's exquisite hand-stitched rasps are born, now makes a hand-forged bench hold down for the discriminating bench owner and woodworker.

The graceful curved gooseneck head of this bench hold down is hand forged and tempered so it has just a touch of tensile spring. This helps create the wedging action needed to grab your work piece. Setting this hand forged hold down is easy work compared to the overly stiff, cast iron, hold down models. The head has a full 6" reach and the 13" long post will let you hold down extra thick projects. The 45/64" diameter post slips into your drilled 3/4" hole, and with the close tolerances, it easily wedges securely into the hole with a quick wooden mallet strike on the head.

The curved head is wheel-buffed to reveal a nice platinum luster, with the subtle details of the hand forging process visible just below the sheen. 2.85 lbs 14-1/4" Overall Length
