BeadLOCK 1/4" Accessory Kit used to expand BeadlLOCK's Loose Tenon Joinery System's Basic Starter kit. Comes with & come with 1/4" sized drill guide block & matching drill bit. 1/2" Accessory Kit also available. The BeadLOCK Joinery System is both simple & effective. With a drill, a bit & a clamp, BeadLOCK lets you cut matching mortises & then join them powerfully & permanently with specially shaped tenon stock. It's the simplest system we've ever seen for reinforcing the corners of frame & panel construction and works great for faceframe joinery as well. BeadLOCK's secret is a drill guide block, similar to a doweling jig, which moves sideways by roughly half of the bit diameter, allowing you to drill a series of overlapping holes. A single registration mark is all that's needed to align the jig. With mortises drilled in both pieces, use a length of BeadLOCK tenon stock a tad shorter than the combined depth of both mortises & glue up. At the heart of the system is the 3/8" Basic Starter Kit that has an anodized clamping plate for attaching the included 3/8" drill guide block. An included 3/8" drill bit lets you create the mortises for 3/8" BeadLOCK tenon stock. The 3/8" Starter Kit includes a molded plastic carrying case. All sizes of the drill guide blocks are factory set to center tenons for 3/4" stock. 6 shims are included in each kit (4 x 1/16" & 2 x 1/32") to insert between the block & plate if an offset joint is desired. 3/8" tenon stock is 1-5/16" wide, 1/2" TS is 1-7/32" wide & the 1/4" TS is 1-11/32" wide. Tenon stock is sold separately.
