Detailed Description
This is a traditional short oil varnish, in which a relatively small percentage of tung oil is mixed with phenolic resin to create a very hard, durable finish that polishes to a high shine. It is a great choice for hand application, since its relatively slow drying cycle allows time for brushing it out smooth and even. It builds a good finish in just a few coats, setting up tougher than a dozen coats of thin wiping varnish. Rockhard goes tack free in about four hours, and dries to recoat in 12 hours. Its amber tone adds considerable warmth to any natural wood color. Allow to cure up to a month for best results when rubbing to a high gloss. For interior use.
