Bow Saws and Frame Saws always create a stir among woodworkers - mysterious stacks of parts to some and perfection in a saw to others. Tage Frid and Frank Klausz have taught the tremendous advantage of having a bow saw readily on hand to hundreds of woodworkers here at Highland. Before power tools, a well constructed bow saw with a few good blades could take care of almost any sawing task in woodworking... this is still true today. It requires practice and a little skill, but ripping and crosscutting, hand cut dovetails, tenons, and shoulders are all possible.
