Hands-On Workshop
This is a challenging seven day class with long days, hard work and lots of fun. You will build this rocker using traditional methods and hand tools. Backs and spindles are split from oak, then shaped with a drawknife and spokeshave. The backs will then be steam bent. Seats are carved from white pine pine using a scorp; the legs and stretchers are pre-turned.
All materials are provided, but you will need to bring your own tools. A complete list of tools you will need will be on our website. You will also need a shaving horse. You may bring your own or rent one from Highland Woodworking.
CLASS CANCELLATION POLICY
Highland Woodworking reserves the right to cancel any class. Full refunds will be issued in that event. Students withdrawing from a class must notify Highland Hardware 10 or more days prior to the beginning of the class to receive full credit or refund. No refund or credit will be issued with less than 10 days' notice.
