CMT Sommerfeld Cove Raised premium frame and panel sets are distinguished by back cutters built into the panel-raising bits, which automatically rabbet a panel's rear edge. Back cutting the panel lets you work in 3/4" stock without having to thickness plane to 5/8", and it sets the back of the panel flush with the surface of the frame. Note these bits can be used to cut 5/8" panel stock as well; the back cutter needn't be removed. The 3-1/2" diameter panel raising bits cut reveals up to 1-3/8" wide. In both sets, matched rail & stile bits cut an attractive ogee pattern 3/8" wide in stock from 23/32" to 7/8" thick. For table mounted VS routers.
