This outstanding miter guide is already the favorite of several of us here at the store. It doesn't look all that fancy at first blush, but it's simple, rugged, and totally reliable. The 1/4" thick black anodized aluminum head is milled, drilled & engraved by computer-controlled machinery, reaching a level of precision that used to be reserved for high technology.
Unique among miter guides, the head pivots 90° left or right; it can be used not only for cutting angles more acute that 45°, but can actually work as a taper jig as well. 15 positive stop holes cover the range from 0° - 90°, and the seven most commonly used settings feature bronze liners for long-term durability. The 18" long 3/8" x 3/4" guide bar comes bored and includes nylon set screws to make fine adjustments to the miter bar and miter slot. A T-slot washer is also included. The guide's 4" post handle makes an excellent handhold and locks the head anywhere between positive stops. The face is generously 7-1/2" wide by 2" high, and has holes bored 1-1/2" off the deck specifically for mounting Kreg miter fences - and mounting hardware is standard, too. This is a terrific miter guide, and we recommend it wholeheartedly.
