This axe was designed to meet the rigors of international throwing competitions, but can also be used for fieldwork. Because of its unique bit (axe blade) shape, this axe can hit a target at several angles of attack making it quite simple to throw. The relieved head shape lets you hold it like a knife for added control. At only 1.5 lbs., its adjustable head can be moved anywhere along the 18" hickory handle for stability or personal preference. The grey finished, 440C stainless steel head nicely balances corrosion resistance with edge retention. A hex setscrew securely locks the head in place. Sure to please the most discriminating axehead.
