The cutting edge of the Gransfors Bruks Carpenter's Axe is straight with a low blade angle. The curve on the lower edge of the head permits an excellent hand grip. Works well in dry wood for dimensioning and whittling; much like a good heavy knife.
The head weighs 1-1/2 lbs. Face is 3-1/2" with an 18" handle. The axe is fitted with a tight-grained hickory handle and provided with a grain-leather sheath with snap fastener.
