Heres a log and timber handling tool that simply does what needs to be done. Use the hookaroons 4-1/2" forged spike to grab a log for rolling or skidding, or drive the spike into end grain to lift logs or timbers for sawing and handling. The hickory axe handle is 29" long. The head weighs 1-1/4 lbs., light enough to swing one-handed but heavy enough to brook no argument from uncooperative wood.
