This "Jack" will help you master a couple of trades, to play fast and loose with the old colloquialism. Cabinet installations, flooring, and a bunch of other chores that would go much easier if you had another hand are where Jack comes in. The Jack will lift base cabinets so you can insert shims or adjust levelling legs. Its clamping capability will draw face frames together while you fasten them in place. Once base cabinets are in, the Jack will lift wall cabinets up from the counter, preventing that awkward moment when you say "Hold this 70-pound cabinet level and square while I drive a screw through this shim and into a hidden stud." Use The Jack to pull or push ornery flooring snug for nailing.
The Jack lifts with a familiar mechanical squeeze lever, and releases with a cam button. The jacks lifting foot fits into a slot in the bottom foot, so it will lift or spread anything with a 3/16" gap. Maximum lift is 15-3/4" with a capacity of 70 lbs. With a 1/2" steel rod as its backbone, its clamping capability is 13". Compares favorably with dedicated one-handed clamps.
