Toshio Odate designed this 19" saw specifically for cutting dovetails in hard wood, though it works equally well for softer woods and other kinds of fine joints. The replaceable blade with steel back is 7" long, enough for an efficient stroke without drawing the hand too far from the work. The blade has 23 tpi for extremely smooth cutting. Kerf width is a scant 1/64th of an inch.
