These "Ice Bear" brand tools are excellent general purpose butt chisels, made for fine carpentry, cabinetmaking and joinery. Bevel-edge blades forged and shaped by hand have extremely hard, durable laminated backs supported by the milder steel bulk of the blade. Dense red oak handles, mounted with a hybrid tang and socket design, are equipped with attractive hand wrought iron hoops to withstand hammer blows and heavy use; initial peening of the handle ends has been performed by the makers to be sure the hoops remain in place. Handles are 3-3/4" long; overall length is about 9". The set of six chisels includes 6, 9, 12, 18, 24 & 30mm sizes, furnished in a fine, heavy leather tool roll with 9 extra pockets for addtional sizes.
