This sophisticated guide finger assembly cuts perfectly fitted finger joints in nine widths from 1/16" to 1/2", in stock up to 1-1/2" thick. It mounts directly to the body of the D-4 jig, with guide combs for 1/4", 5/16", 3/8" & 1/2" fingers in 8", 10", 12" and 14" stock widths respectively. A delightfully simple locator pin system moves the template half of the finger width to cut mating pieces; this system also lets you halve and quarter the standard sizes with appropriate bits (omitting only 5/64") for making joints ideally suited to many different stock thicknesses & widths. No other finger joint system offers Leigh's astonishing ability to produce round-bottomed fingers on one or both halves, as well as cut half-blind fingers, square or rounded.

Interlocking a number of fingers demands extreme precision in every cut. To guarantee complete accuracy, F-2 templates come with Leigh's unique VGS template guides, which allow adjustment of the template guide turret in increments of 1/1000th of an inch. This novel 8-piece guide system fits Leigh adapters and universal  template guide mount or adapters.
