Designed with cabinetmaking in mind, not timber framing, these well-balanced Mortise Chisels are ground with parallel sides and are taller than they are wide to help keep them straight in the cut. The Lie-Nielsen mortise chisels have hornbeam handles.
The chisels are made of A-2 Tool Steel, hardened to Rockwell 60-62, cryogenically treated and double tempered. The chisel is 9 3/4" long.
