These uncommon planes are typically used to clean right up to the end of a rabbet after bullnose and rabbet planes have done most of the work. Chisel planes also work very handsomely as trim planes for cleanly flush-cutting pins, tails, through tenons or plugs, and for paring away dried glue squeeze-out. The small bronze plane is 6-1/2" long x 1-3/4" wide; the larger is 10" x 2-1/4". Bed angle is 12° for clean cutting especially on end grain.
