This unusual bronze plane features a removable steel side plate that allows quick conversion for use in rabbeting, planing flush along an adjacent surface, or fielding raised panels. 1-1/2" wide iron, bedded at 12°, is skewed across the front for the cleanest possible shear cutting. An adjustable, removable fence sets width of cut for rabbeting. The 140 includes a 3-wing nicker to eliminate tearout on cross-grain cuts. 6-7/8" long, 2.2 lbs.
