The first thing you'll notice about Norton sanding discs is their funky dust hole pattern. The discs will accommodate any 5" hook and loop pad with either 5- or 8-hole dust extraction. You won't have to remember what pattern your sander needs, or buy different paper for multiple sanders.

3X Discs feature a tightly graded, ceramic alumina abrasive that lasts longer and cuts faster than conventional discs. Norton coats these discs with a waterbased stearate to prevent clogging when sanding finishes and resinous woods. In our tests, we found it did not cause finish contamination or wood discoloration. So, it's safe for use on any raw wood or finish, including waterborne finishes if all the dust is removed (Norton Red Dry Tack Cloth, 156728). Norton 3X 5" H&L Discs are P graded (FEPA).
