This heavy-duty variable speed control device is designed for use with DC or universal (brush-type) motors. Used with table-mounted or hand-held routers, this unit lets you select the rpm best suited to the material, the feed rate & the bit doing the work. Routing in plastics or aluminum, using templates or following intricate patterns will be easier and more efficient; panel-raising bits and other huge cutters can be operated more safely & comfortably when you're in charge of their rpm.

The Speed Control works with 115-volt single speed universal motors drawing up to 15 amps. Electronic feedback circuitry ensures constant torque regardless of rpm, maintaining the speed you've chosen by feeding more power to the motor as load increases.

Please note that this speed control is not compatible with "soft start" motor circuitry.
