Class Size: 8
This class will jump start you on the skills needed to carve small 3 dimensional figurines. Caricature carving is fun and provides a lot of carving latitude for creativity. Larry will show you about the different types of carving wood, how to use carving knifes and palm chisels, techniques of roughing out and detailing, and methods of painting in the detail for adding realism or whimsy to help bring your carving to life (painting your carving happens at home). This class has a required list of tools you'll need to bring to class. Please bring or send your tools to our store at least one week before class and Larry will sharpen them to help save the time in class for active carving.
CLASS CANCELLATION POLICY
Highland Woodworking reserves the right to cancel any class. Full refunds will be issued in that event. Students withdrawing from a class must notify Highland Woodworking 10 or more days prior to the beginning of the class to receive full credit or refund. No refund or credit will be issued with less than 10 days' notice.
For labor intensive or multiple day courses, we reserve the right to issue special refund stipulations which will be noted in the class advertisement at the time of posting.
