Delta 46-460 12-1/2" Variable Speed Midi Lathe

The Delta 46-460 Midi-Lathe is an exquisitely-built machine contained in a compact footprint. Meticulous design and construction make it the quietest and smoothest-running small lathe that we have ever seen.

The Delta 46-460 offers 3 different speed ranges (250-700, 600-1800 and 1350-4,000 rpm), each electronically variable within the range offering excellent torque. Changing the belt and pulleys from one speed range to another is incredibly fast and simple using a handy lever to release tension on the belt. Everything is easily accessible.

Lockable on-off switch is conveniently located.

Swing over the bed is 12-1/2", making it feasible to turn a bowl or platter a full 12" in diameter. Headstock spindle is fully indexable.

Standard distance between centers is 16-1/2". Adding the optional bed extension increases the distance between centers to 42", giving it full-size lathe capacity.

Padded handles securely lock the tool rest in position. Includes both 6" and 10" tool rests, 3" faceplate, #2 MT drive center, #2 MT ball-bearing live center, knockout bar and wrenches.
