Flexcut Thumbnail Palm Gouge No. 11x, 3/16" (5mm) FR725

We stock both palm chisels and full-size Flexcut tools. Palm chisels are shorter in length, with the cutting edge closer to the controlling hand you'll have tighter control over your carving. Flexcut's palm chisels are 5" long overall, with 3" blades. The regular tools have 4-1/2" blades with an 8" overall length. These fixed handled palm tools have ergonomic solid Ash handles and are constructed of high carbon steel.

Thumbnail Palm Gouges are very deep gouges, formed with a parabolic curve. They are designed to be rolled up to 90 and change shape from a deep #11 to a smooth #3 in one continuous cut. The thumbnail grind keeps the corners from digging into the wood as the tool is rolled.
