On October 4th, 2014, our blogger, Matthew York, took Phil Colson's Basic Bowl Turning class and shared his experience through both a blog entry and photos. Throughout the class, students learned the basics of bowl making including tool selection, gouge sharpening techniques, finishing options, and safe lathe operation.
