Detailed Description
The workmanship that goes into these fine woodworking workbenches is simply outstanding. Joints are as perfect as most of us usually just wish for; solid beech stock is straight, clear and beautifully finished. Even the smallest H&H workbench is solid, substantial, and worthy of your best work. It comes complete, ready for assembly. (Bolt the stretchers to the legs, then lay on the topyou're done.) The bench has a shoulder vise with wooden jaw mounted flush with the left end of the top, a tail vise with a dog hole in the moving jaw, vise handles, and pair of steel bench dogs. A full-length tool well with clean-out ramps runs along the rear of the work surface.
The compact workbench is 51-1/2" long, 20" wide and 34" high. Its front edge is 3-1/2" thick; Hoffman & Hammer do not assume that buying a workbench of moderate size means you're willing to compromise on quality. Total weight is 99 lbs., so the bench is easy to move as your needs dictate. The shoulder vise is 16-1/2" wide with maximum opening of 7-1/4".
