Kell Honing Jig, 1 in. Capacity

A simple, elegant solution beautifully executed. The Kell Jig is the first rolling honing guide we've seen that works with short, narrow chisels. Two solid brass cylinders hold the blade securely between them. A solid brass thumbscrew adjusts the width of the jig; machining of moving parts has been done so well that adjusting the jig feels like working with a micrometer. A pair of guide rods keeps it all in alignment, while also registering against the back of the chisel, which in turn rides beneath the guide rods for a uniquely compact and stable stance. Plastic rollers and clamping faces protect the brass jig, which has a wonderful weight in the hand and works fantastically. For the first time ever, our narrowest chisels are both sharp and square across their front edge. Works with any straight blade up to 1" wide.
