Detailed Description
This versatile fence is a dramatic improvement over the stock fences that come with 14" Delta, Jet or Taiwanese bandsaws, and simply bolt on to most of them. The aluminum extrusion fence an be fastened to the rail and baseplate at any point along its length, and accepts shopmade add-ons like high fences or stop blocks with ease, to say nothing of the Kreg curved resaw fence.
The Kreg bandsaw fence has several significant improvements over its predecessor: The 26" long rail includes an integral magnifying cursor for accurate setting against the self-adhesive scale you install to match your particular saw. The rail itself is much beefier than before. The most work has been done on the sliding baseplate, however. It is now a 6" wide section of a massive aluminum extrusion (13/16" thick at its maximum) that engages the rail through a central star knob and two outriding nylon cap screws in a T-square arrangement. As you'd expect, this makes adjustment smooth and locking both easy and secure. Adjustment range for blade lead has been enhanced, and the optional micro-adjuster lets you dial in width of cut with wonderful fineness. The result is a rip fence that rivals a good tablesaw fence for ease of use and positive adjustment.
