Detailed Description
Stropping with fine abrasive compound is a traditional method for completing the sharpening process and retouching edges that are slightly dulled from use. Strops are simply firm, cushioned surfaces that hold compound well and polish edges without dubbing them over. Our strop has 1-3/8" x 6-1/2" coarse and fine leather surfaces. It includes a small starter block of stropping compound. For best results, we recommend our Green Blade Honing Compound (027012). With ultra-fine chromium oxide abrasive, it will cut faster and polish more smoothly than the traditional red rouge provided.
