Lie-Nielsen Mortise Chisel

Designed with cabinetmaking in mind, not timber framing, these well-balanced Mortise Chisels are ground with parallel sides and are taller than they are wide to help keep them straight in the cut. The Lie-Nielsen mortise chisels have hornbeam handles.
The chisels are made of A-2 Tool Steel, hardened to Rockwell 60-62, cryogenically treated and double tempered. The chisel is 9-3/4" long. Available in 3/16", 1/4", 5/16", 3/8" or 1/2".
