Detailed Description
Lie-Nielsen Low Angle Jack Plane No. 62 Lie Nielsen's Low Angle Jack Plane is based on the Stanley 62. With its 14" long cast ductile iron body and heavy 2" wide by 3/16" thick iron bedded (bevel up) at just 12°, this plane's low cutting angle (~37°) lets it cut smoother than any other plane, especially on end grain. An adjustable sole plate allows fine-tuning the throat opening to nearly eliminate tearout when planing surface grain. Bronze cap iron & cherry handles complete the package.
