Lie-Nielsen No. 10-1/4 Jack Rabbet Plane

At 12-3/4" long by 2-1/8" wide, the Jack Rabbet is the largest rabbeting plane made. Though it is quite similar to the Record 010 we carried for many years, the 10-1/4 is distinguished not only by Lie-Nielsen's meticulous quality and faithful Bed Rock design, but by the addition of cross-grain "nickers", or slitting cutters, just forward of the blade on both sides of the plane, and by its highly unusual tilting handles as well. The handles can be set to clear an adjacent wall when you're planing assembled work, and you can likewise set and lock them at a comfortable angle while you're using the plane for beveling & chamfering (making raised panels, for instance). Ductile iron body, bronze frog & lever cap, cherry handle & knob. Weighs 5 lbs.
