Lie-Nielsen No. 140 Bronze Right Hand Skew Block Plane with Nicker

Lie-Nielsen's No. 140 Bronze Right Hand Skew Block Plane is an unusual bronze plane which features a removable steel side plate that allows quick conversion for use in rabbeting, planing flush along an adjacent surface, or fielding raised panels. 1-1/2" wide iron, bedded at 12°, is skewed across the front for the cleanest possible shear cutting. An adjustable, removable fence sets width of cut for rabbeting. The 140 has an A2 round nicker to eliminate tearout on cross-grain cuts. 6-7/8" long, 2.2 lbs.
