Detailed Description
Lie-Nielsen's No. 5-1/4 Junior Jack Plane is a medium-size plane, sized in between smoothing planes and No. 5 or No. 5-1/2 jack planes in size, heft & function. It's 11-3/4" long, 2-1/8" wide with a 1-3/4" iron. 1-1/4 lbs. lighter than the more familiar No. 5, this Junior Jack is perfectly suited to general stock dimensioning and surface preparation, especially on very hard timbers where its narrower blade requires just a bit less energy to power through the work. Ductile iron body, bronze Bed Rock frog & lever cap, cherry handles. Weighs 4.25 lbs.
