Lie-Nielsen Set of 5 Mortise Chisels with Tool Roll

Lie-Nielsen's Mortise Chisels have the same great steel & socket design as the Lie-Nielsen Bevel Edge Chisels, but have their sides ground parallel. The chisels are made of cryogenically treated A-2 tool steel, which means is they will take and hold a very fine edge without being brittle which is quite difficult to achieve. They are taller to give more heft and guidance to the tool when cutting mortises. Designed for furniture mortising as opposed to timber framing, these 9-1/2" long chisels are nicely balanced and a pleasure to hold. The set includes 3/16", 1/4", 5/16", 3/8" and 1/2" wide chisels with hornbeam handles and a 7-pocket leather tool roll.
