Lie-Nielsen Small Bronze Scraping Plane

Lie-Nielsen's scraping planes can be used for practically any finishing job in the shop, taking ultra-fine shavings from surfaces or edges on any species, regardless of grain direction. 1/8" thick irons with 60° bevel and heavy adjustable-angle mount make for extremely smooth, stable operation. The small scraping plane is 5-1/2" long, with 1-3/8" iron width. Large model is 9-1/2" long with a 2-7/8" wide iron.

Optional toothing blades for the small planes score surfaces for veneering (with hide glue or slow-setting glues). They also smooth & flatten extremely wild-grained wood prior to sanding to a clean finish.
