Miller Dowel 1X Kit with 50 Birch Dowels

This system offers a quick and convenient way to align and reinforce right-angle joints. 7/16" long x 13/32" diameter heads are turned smooth and clean to serve as self plugs. Simply drill the hole with the Miller Dowel Drill, then glue and tap in the Miller Dowel. Choose from birch, cherry, oak or walnut dowels for the most pleasing contrast or best color match. Shear and tensile strength should be roughly equal to that of a smooth, conventional 1/4" dowel. The new Mini-X is 1-5/8" long and is optimized for 1/2" stock; 1X is 2-3/4" long for 1" stock, and 2X is 3-1/2" long for 1-1/2" stock. The 1X kit includes Miller's "Quick-Drill" step drill bit and 50 birch Miller Dowels.
