The American-made Multi-Router jointmaker is a dream machine for commercial-duty production of almost any solid-wood joint imaginable. Extraordinarily heavy aluminum alloy castings, low-tolerance, computer-controlled surface machining, and complete X-Y-Z axis control with linear ball bearings on solid steel ways make the Multi-Router the smoothest, most precise and most versatile joinery device we've ever seen. An excellent DVD presentation is available to provide an in-depth view of the machine at work in a shop environment. Equipped with the optionally available pneumatic clamp system, the Multi-Router is equally at home on the factory floor or in a one-man custom shop.

While its specialty is mortise & tenon joints (up to 1/2" x 3"), the Multi-Router also
produces dovetails, box joints, splined miters, sliding dovetails, round stub tenons, and
numerous decorative joints. The tilting work surface (0° to 45°) makes both
simple and compound-angle joints unbelievably easy. Mortises use built-in stops for
control in every dimension. All other joint components are produced under template
control; once set up, the machine will mill anything from one to a thousand parts with no
further adjustment.
The work mounting table rides on four 3/4" diameter hardened steel ways which offer 8" of
side-to-side and in-and-out travel. Thompson linear bearings assure tight, precise
movement with dreamlike ease and smoothness. 20" level handles move the table along both
axes with positive control and excellent mechanical advantage. The vertical platen serves
as router mount and positioning jig for stock set-up and some milling operations. It is
bored for mounting your own Makita 3612 & RF1100's, Bosch 1600 series, Porter-Cable 690
series, Milwaukee 2HP, and most Sears routers. Most other makes and models will mount
with additional boring. The platen offers 6" of vertical travel, and is equipped with a
gas-cylinder return which completely offsets the weight of any router, a great safety
feature as well as an indispensable convenience. The Multi Router comes with two manual
hold-down clamps which mount in any of the table's 14 sockets.
A variety of optional templates is available for producing standard tenons, box (or finger) joints, 14° dovetails, mitered dovetails, and round tenons. A micro-adjustable ball-bearing follower stylus for use with the templates is standard. Standard style tenon templates are easy to use, as the stylus is completely controlled within a closed track.
Variable-size tenon templates are available to provide complete assurance that your tenons will fit even if your mortises come out slightly over or under absolute dimension. All the variable-size templates are used in a master insert holder; each tenon size set comes with three inserts to change size in very small increments. Note: All tenon sizes are cut with a 1/2" end mill bit.
The comprehensive template set we offer includes all the templates except the standard tenon templates. It includes the master insert holder and all sizes of variable-size tenon templates.
Whether you want a machine for commercial mass production of chair parts, or the ultimate router jig, the Multi-Router is an outstanding combination of ingenious design and meticulous execution. Weighs 99 lbs.
The Multi-Router works with a number of different routers. A router is not included.
