Detailed Description
This heavy-duty #2 Morse taper live center offers 5 different tips to handle a variety of situations. The ball bearing head tapers toward the front, allowing unobstructed tool access to the end of your workpiece. The cup point center is used for most bowl or spindle turning. The point can be removed and replaced if worn or broken. The 60° point center is used on small turning or whenever you need to cut across an end as close as possible to the center. The hollow cup center can be used with or without its center point. With the center point, it hold spindle firmly while reducing the possibility of splitting the wood. With the center point, it can hold stock while drilling through the live center.
The miniature extension center allows easy access to very small turnings.
The stepped cone can be used as as pad center to apply non-marring pressure to reverse-mounting bowls or platters for finishing or final touch-up. When reversed, it can be used to wedge fit in hollow turnings.
you can turn custom wood pads or cones which can be mounted to the Nova Live Center system using the threaded center.
