Hands-On Workshop
Getting the edges of your hand tools sharper than a razor will make your woodworking incomparably easier and more enjoyable. As a professional woodworker, Jim developed sharpening methods that get his blades sharp quickly, consistently and with relative ease. In this one evening workshop, Jim will cover the use of electric grinders, stones of different types, sandpaper on glass, and a commercial sharpening jig he finds particularly useful.
Feel free to bring one dull chisel or plane iron you'd like to revive. You'll be amazed at the results.
