Super-Soft 2 Veneer Softener, Gallon

Veneer softener relaxes wavy veneers so they can be flattened and glued without cracking or splitting. By spraying Super-Soft 2 on both sides of the veneer, it will temporarily plasticize the wood, making it more pliable. Once dry, the veneers are separated by several sheets of clean newsprint and pressed between two flat boards or plywood. A couple of cinder blocks on top of the boards make a fine press.

Super-Soft 2 can also be applied to the face side of the veneer to help minimize curling when using water-based glue. Super-Soft 2 will not affect wood's ability to accept color or finish once it's dry, and is safe for burls and crotches. Includes a mister head for spraying and a flip-top spout for pouring. Use in a well ventilated area.
