Veritas Honing Guide and Angle Jig Set

Veritas makes the finest honing guide on the market. It rides on a brass roller 1-3/16" wide, offering excellent stability. Plane irons & chisles are held in place by a wide swivel foot driven by a large knurled brass knob. The jig accepts blades up to 2-1/2" wide and up to 5/8" thick. An optional magnetic accessory holds blades too small for any other honing guide to handle.

The guide roller is mounted on an eccentric axle which can be set to increase the angle by your choice of 1° or 2° for very quick and totally controlled final honing.

A companion to the honing guide is the Veritas Angle Setting Jig, which lets you set the correct sharpening angle on chisels or plane irons quickly and accurately, without regard to the tool's current condition or bevel angle. Settings are 15°, 20°, 25°, 30° and 35°.
