Whiteside Set of 2 Maloof 5° Rabbet Bits - 1/2" Shank

This tapered rabbet bit set is made in the USA by Whiteside Machinery Company and consists of a positive 5 degree rabbet bit and a matching negative 5 degree rabbet bit. They are used along with a 1" rabbet bit for creating the seat to leg joint on a Sam Maloof Style Rocking Chair. These bits are designed from the original router bits that Sam Maloof had made for him by a small company in California that is no longer in business. The depth of cut is 1/4, the cutting length is 5/8 and the shank diameter is 1/2.

Please Note:This bit set does not come with instructions. You will have to refer to other sources on how to construct the original seat to leg joint for a Sam Maloof style rocker using the 5 degree bits. These bits are NOT used when building from the Build a Sam Maloof Inspired Rocking Chair DVD, Book & Pattern set by Charles Brock.
