I attended the Art Center College of Design in Los Angeles, California, engaged in intensive studies there including: drawing, painting, typography and photography, with a major in graphic design.

After I finished with schooling, I served as an art director in the recording industry for more than 20 years, with hands-on involvement in the creative direction and design of album packaging, print advertising and marketing.

I made the transition from two-dimensional graphic design to three-dimensional wood forms in 1996, and it was a fairly natural progression.

My vessels include one of a kind lathe-turned forms, some with additional support elements. I then apply surface designs such as freehand drawing, pyrography, low-relief engraving, carving and various pigments.
