I found another finish. I have known about Howard Feed-N-Wax for years and have used it to bring back the luster on all wooden furniture. I was browsing YouTube, looking at woodturning videos, when I ran across a tri-box demo where the turner used Feed-N-Wax for a finish. I got my bottle and started reading the directions, which I hadn't read up until then. I'm a guy. Why not?

It is made up of Orange oil, beeswax, and carnauba. It gives a soft, "touch me", look to my work. The piece I'm showing you is a walnut bud vase.

In case you are a guy like me, here are the directions:

  1. Saturate a small pad and wipe it on.
  2. Let it stand for 20 minutes and wipe off any excess.
  3. Buff with a soft cloth or paper towel. (If you buff it on the lathe, make sure you use a paper towel NOT a cloth.

Give it a try, and happy turning.
