Marking Sanding Discs

It used to be that when I purchased two and three inch sanding discs, I would write the grit size on the velcro with a marker. It took a lot of time so I put my thinking cap on to try to find a faster way.

I came up with a color coding system using colored markers. 80 grit is Red, 120 grit is Blue, 150 grit is Green, 220 grit Yellow, and 320 grit is Black. I put a chart on my lathe to remind me of what color goes with what grit. I'm an old guy. One mark on the velcro and I'm done.

It works for me.
