Detailed Description
Nicholson Mill Bastard File
Mill files are used for shaped and finishing metals. They were originally intended for use in mill sharpening tool steel circular and mill
saw blades. Most have square single cut edges, but some have a rounded edge for shaping saw gullets. They have a rectangular cross section
and are tapered slighty from tang to tip. Our mill files all have a bastard or medium-coarse cut with one set of diagonal teeth.
These days, most woodworkers use mill bastard files for filing cabinet scrapers or jointing handsaw teeth.
