The Bayonet is Bad Axe's Carcase Saw counterpart to their Stiletto Dovetail Saw. The Bayonet has many fo the same fetauers and strengths as the stilletto, but it's a better fit for larger joinery. It's a little longer, a little deeper and uses Bad Axe's hybrid-tooth filing for better cuts whether ripping or crosscutting.

The Bad Axe saws we offer have quarter-sawn Mission white oak handles that are classic in form, and take to one's handgrip comfortably and securely. The solid steel back adds additional mass that helps start and maintain straight cuts. It has a black-oxide finish that gives a deep charcoal gray, gun-metal-like luster. With their traditional and time-tested folded design, the sawbacks are sprung onto the Swedish high-carbon spring steel sawplate's spine. This enables the user to re-tension the blade should a need arise and forgives sloppy saw handling. Polished brass nuts accent beautifully, while securely holding the handle to the blade.

Please note: Our inventory of Bad Axe saws come equipped with “regular” sized handles for fitting hands measuring 3-5/8" to 3-7/8" as measured across the palm, below the fingers. If you need a handle for larger or smaller hands, you would need to purchase your saw direct from Bad Axe.
