Bessey's new GearKlamp, has redefined the “F” style, quick-action bar clamp. With the use of a small gear mechanism in the sliding jaw, the turn handle on the clamp can be located on center with the rail (the rail/bar passes through the handle). This lets you place the jaws into tighter quarters, since the handle stays back, out of the area of the clamping jaws. This design also affords a great deal of knuckle clearance for gripping and tightening the handle when positioned in front of a closed surface.

Push the fast action sliding jaw to close, while pressing a release button lets you quickly slide it open. Durable and strong, the jaws are fabricated with a fiberglass-reinforced polyamide and have a 2-3/8" throat depth. The 3/4" hardened, tempered and burnished steel bar lets you dish out up to 450 lbs. of clamping force. The gear drive mechanism gives 13/16" of travel for the 1" diameter, non-marring swivel pad. The non-marring fixed jaw pad measures 2-5/8" x 1-1/8". It can be popped off for easy cleaning and to reveal a V-groove jaw for help with centering on round and pointed parts.
