Ceramic Sharpening Stones
Ceramic Sharpening Stones are a big step up from the surface of old Arkansas stones. Ceramic stones combine
tremendous efficiency with great convenience for sharpening knives, hand tools and many power tools in the shop
or anywhere else. They cut as rapidly as waterstones or diamond stones, and like waterstones are available in
very fine grit for polishing edges to a mirror shine. These smooth cutting, long wearing, fused-alumina ceramic
stones can be used dry or with water and are available in several shapes and sizes from pocket stones to
generous bench stones. The ceramic file sets with four shapes are the stones of choice for carving tools,
moulding plane irons and other shaped edges. The 2 x 8 bench stones make quick work for chisel and plane
iron sharpening. When the stone surfaces get clogged with debris, scrub the stone with house-hold abrasive
cleaner and water.
